Gross High School Prank Told Girls to Show Up for Vaginal Inspection

Female students at a high school in Minnesota were tricked into believing they were required to show up for a "mandatory vagina inspection," thanks to a sick prank.

The letter was written on forged letterhead from Prior Lake High School and was hand delivered to an unknown number of students' homes. The letter was eventually circulated through various social media sites. While it was deemed to be a senior prank, most people (especially parents) are still pretty horrified. Here is an excerpt from the letter, via Fox9:

To all female students at Prior Lake High School:

The district is required to conduct a mandatory vagina inspection on all female students at Prior Lake High School in accordance with Minnesota Health Code 69. End-of-the-year vagina inspections will occur in the Blue Gym. The mandatory health inspections will be conducted Friday, May 23, 2014 promptly at 8:05 a.m. Make ups will occur the following week on Tuesday, May 26, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. All students who have not already completed a vagina inspection MUST attend one of these two mandatory sessions. Students will be excused from any classes they miss in order to attend an inspection.

Senior pranks are what they are, but the creepiest part about this is the idea that someone knew the home addresses of all these students and went house-to-house, delivering the letter. Even though school officials don't think they can discipline anyone involved (since there's no evidence the letter was written or printed on school property) police are still investigating the matter:

Putting anything in a resident's mailbox without paying postage is a federal offense, but typically, if a mail carrier sees it, the person distributing letters wouldn't face charges, but the mail carrier would remove the items and explain the action is illegal.

According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, the Postal Service removed about 50 letters from boxes before they were discovered by the intended recipients.

I guess this is supposed to be "funny" because GIRLS HAVE VAGINAS LOL LOL LOL. Apparently the "prankster" never gave a second thought to how a young, vulnerable girl would feel thinking her future rested on being forced to submit to something as deeply invasive and private as a vaginal exam. See, because it's funny when gullible, naive people fall for horrifying things and then get freaked out by them!

The school's principal, David Lund, apologized to parents via email and said the school is continuing to look into the matter.
