But good news: our collective suffering is over because there is a new trend of hotels creating rooms that are just for women. What, exactly does this mean? Well, at the Dukes London, it means "fresh flowers, women's magazines and size-appropriate slippers and robes and female staff members who are escorts at check-in." Vancouver's Georgian Court Hotel has the Orchid Floor, a special women's only floor where the rooms are equipped flat irons, yoga mats and beauty products. Here's something to look out for when you're planning your next trip: Hotels across the country are keeping dogs on staff for guests to play with. Ten Fairmont Hotels have dogs that live in the hotels and are available for walks. At the Red Mountain Resort and Spa in Utah, there's a golden retriever who leads hikes with her trainer, or you can go on walks with puppies from a local shelter, with the option to bring the dog home if you hit it off. While any number of hotels will allow dogs, if man's bets friend is your highest priority, that hardly cuts it. Enter The Inn at Lake Joseph, a picturesque Catskills retreat for dog and master. While you stay in one of the inn's cabins, your pooch can run in the woods, swim in the lake's "dog crib," and romp with the other dogs in residence.
