Horrible Pundits: Amtrak Engineer Crashed Train Because He's Gay

On Tuesday night, an Amtrak train on its way from Washington D.C. to New York derailed in Philadelphia, killing eight people and injuring more than 200. It’s a truly tragic and disturbing event, but also, it’s important for terrible people to figure out how to make this about the evils of homosexuality as quickly as possible.

The causes of the crash haven’t yet been determined. The engineer on board was 32-year-old Brandon Bostian of Queens, who sustained a concussion during the derailment. He recently agreed to talk to investigators, but has said little publicly. That’s left plenty of time for people like Chuck C. Johnson to start pontificating about the causes of the crash.

Johnson, an enraged Raggedy Andy doll who grew up to be an enraged man-sized Chuckie doll, has concluded that because Bostian is gay, homosexuality is what caused the train to derail:

Something that vile isn’t going to get much play in the mainstream press, but as Right Wing Watch points out, it’s gaining traction among a sector of the population who are convinced that gayness is at the root of every problem and may also hasten the coming of the Antichrist.World Net Daily columnist Cheryl Chumley also brought up Bostian’s sexuality, as did Sandy Rios, who hosts a radio show on the extremely anti-gay American Family Association’s network. Rios called homosexuality “a factor” in the crash:

I am not inferring to those of you who are gay rights activists and who like to monitor this show, I’m not inferring that this accident happened because he was gay. But I do think it’s an interesting part of the story, and I bet it will be edited out.”

She added, “I don’t know, but I think it is something to be discussed and I think it’s a factor and I doubt you will hear it anywhere else.” Unfortunately, though, we will.
