Let's diagnose a Jezzie!

So, over the past week
-I've been really tired. And not just "oh, I could use a nap" tired but "I AM GOING TO FALL ASLEEP WHILE WALKING DOWN THIS STREET" tired.

-I've been incredibly moody. I bitch and moan for hours, cry constantly, and then feel really, ridiculously happy for like five minutes. Repeat.

-I've been horny. And again, not just my typical horny, but a flicking the bean 6 times a day issue.

-My breasts hurt. That is all.

-I'm bloated, and starving all the time. I eat constantly. I've gained about 4 pounds.

I'm not on any new meds, nor have I recently gone off any. I had my period two weeks ago. What's GOING ON?

@REALTALK: Some of it could be a yeast overgrowth in the digestive track. Do symptoms get worse when you eat sugar or white carbs or have alcohol?

#groupthink
@REALTALK: I fucking hate when people do this, but it seems like it could be a real possibility...is there any chance at all you could be pregnant? Have you taken a test?

#groupthink
@REALTALK: Dude, you sound 1st trimester. Pee on a stick. Full disclosure I recently watched a lot of "I didn't know I was pregnant" and now think everything is under cover pregnancy.

@rixatrix has a bargain for frances: I know, that's exactly what I've been thinking! But I have a history of being paranoid about it, so I thought I might just be overreacting. If I had my period 2 weeks ago, though, would pregnancy signs show this quickly from sex after that?

#groupthink
@AwkwardTurtle: Haha, I'm the exact same way. I don't have any money to buy a pee stick, I think I might take myself down the free clinic tomorrow. Better to be paranoid and know than to go longer without knowing, right? Ugh. I really hope it's something else. (I know nothing about pregnancy, can symptoms show a week after conception?)

#groupthink
@REALTALK: Possibly, although you should probably take one now, and if it's negative and you still have symptoms, take another in two weeks. It's possible your last period was a fluke - you can be pregnant and bleed at the same time.

@REALTALK: Others have mentioned pregnancy so I won't, but I will say that barring that, it sounds exactly like PMS (well, my PMS).

Sometimes cycles get out of whack, especially if you have additional stresses in your life, have moved, changed things like diet/exercise.

I went through a period (ha!) a few years where I was pretty wonky after being like clockwork most of my life. I'd get my period, and then I'd start PMSing 1.5 - 2 weeks later. That would last several weeks, and then the real thing would be late. It coincided with a lot more exercise and some weight loss.

@REALTALK: Yup. I agree with @Neroon (after you rule out pregnancy) My doctor said that a woman's hormones can suddenly up and change and totally change the way you experience PMS. (It happened to me and sucked).

#groupthink
@REALTALK: Except for the starving part, that is exactly how I feel and I am most definitely 8 weeks pregnant. However, at 2 weeks, I had not a clue nor a symptom, but everyone is different, I'm sure.
