Somebody bleach my brain, please.

I just had to work with a Daily Fail article about Britney Spears. It's weird because I'm pretty sure I've had to work with other nastier things, but this one left me with such a bitter aftertaste. It was poisonous, undermining, and really awful. And now I feel gross for having to read it.

And the other news I've had to work with are about some terrible, terrible shit going down in the city where I live.
The world sucks and now I'm really wishing that Mayan prophecy thing is actually true.

I suppose working with news isn't conducive to optimism about the world, is it?

@Casquivana: Stay safe. It has been a really tough week for Mexico.

@Casquivana: Nope. I left my last job in part because having readers call and yell at me about their ignorant opinions made me fear for mankind. When the editors kept churning out crappo editorials about how Henry Louis Gates needed to learn a lesson and such, I knew it was time to go.

@KimiKini: I'm so grateful that I don't have to work with editorials. There are some that are just... I don't even find the right adjectives. I always wonder why some people are allowed to write the crap that goes through their heads.

Most of the time I just roll my eyes so hard at the material I get they might get stuck to the back of my head. But these have been very rough days and I guess I just feel like the world sucks and then we die, or something.

@LaFemme: Thanks. It's been tough indeed. I grew up in a place that I guess can be considered rough and crazy and I'm somewhat desensitized to a lot of stuff, but never in a million years would I have imagined things would get to the point were they are.

@Ailatan: Lots of violent stuff.

I'm PM'ing you some things.
