Gov. Chris Christie Delivers Speech With Lots of F-Words

Latest

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie invoked the spirit of Andrew “Dice” Clay when he delivered a speech brimming with expletives at the New Jersey Legislative Correspondents Club Show on Wednesday evening. The event is an annual fundraising tradition put on by the New Jersey press corps and Christie’s profanity-filled diatribe was directly aimed at the journalists. “Anything that gets me off this fucking stage next year, I’m willing to do anything. Why do you think I might run for president? Cause I don’t know what primary is in May 2016 next year, but if I’m at 1 fucking percent, I will be there,” said Christie.

According to IBT, the show is supposedly meant to be all in good fun, with reporters performing songs and dances all while dressed in costume. Christie made videos for previous show, but expressed disinterest in producing more. “The reason we don’t have a video is that we just don’t give a shit anymore,” Christie said.“We don’t give a shit about this or any of you.”

The potential GOP presidential candidate, snack hound and bridge troll, continued his tirade, targeting specific reporters in attendance. “This is a guy who says he doesn’t know what I’m doing every day,” Christie said of NJ.com reporter, Claude Brodesser-Akner. “Then just get the fuck away from me. Every time I turn the corner in New Hampshire, you and that beard are there. So here’s my suggestion: Open your eyes, clean the shit out of your ears, and pay attention.” So sassy, that Gov. Christie.

Christie’s spokesman, Kevin Roberts, issued a statement in regards to the governor’s speech. “All of the songs and acts of the night, including the Governor’s obvious parody of himself, were in jest and along with the spirit of the evening,” Roberts said.
