Forever 21's Attempt At Fancy Fails

f21.pngForever 21, that bastion of "copyright infringement", is launching a "high-end" capsule collection, TwelveByTwelve. Perfect for the Sybil in everyone, there are six lines, one for every so-called personality type: Dandy Dolls is supposed to glorify the androgynous look of 70's sweater dressing but in reality is made up of kinda cheap-looking, sweater dresses and shifts; Modern Art, which claims to have a 60's Pop vibe and seems to have some of the most successfully-executed pieces; Mystical Forest, which is said to costume a "fairytale gone wrong"; Rear View (no comment); The Royals, which only a drug addict would mistake for something found in Queen Elizabeth's closet; Vintage Couture, which is supposed to look like, well, vintage couture; and, lastly, 012 Luxe, which is supposed to appeal to the Sporty Spice in all of us. And how are the clothes? There are some nice enough pieces (seriously, you have no idea how long we've been looking for the thick knit tights we used to wear when we were kids), but there are some really, really scary looking things too. The good, the bad, and the ugly, all after the jump.
