This new graphic being sent around by people on Facebook makes the subversive argument that Republican women are prettier than Democrat women. And initially I was flattered, because unless it's your job to be pretty, being really pretty is usually a sign that you're spending too much time getting foils applied to your follicles and unnecessarily elevating your heartbeat and not enough time reading up on the issues. But then, you know, I immediately regretted wasting that much time formulating a response. And then I remembered how I used to feel when my little brother would say something like "I'm older than you, in a way," because although he was actually two years younger his birthday fell two weeks before mine in the same month, and I would argue with him for about three hours until realizing that my time was better spent, you know, reading up on the issues.
Or getting highlights. Whatever. So yeah, "la la la la la la la I love it when things are equal parts offensive and inane and it drives so much traffic it really affirms my whole fucking existence where's Ann Coulter anyway la la la" is all I'm going to add.

Just saw this on Feministing. 1) Its FACEBOOK. Between shitty grammar, heinous spelling, and stupid sentences, people in my age group are free to be collective shitheads on it. I'm surprised by some of the groups I've found (yeah...I should join "I stay up late and don't do anything productive." OOOH! Creepy.
2) They're Republicans. It seems the loudest voices of the GOP who are f*cking old enough to DRINK are immature and cheap and grotesque...not surprised Republican college students exhibit the highest concentration of, "WE'RE NUMBER 1! F*CK YOUR TEAM"-ism, in all its nastiest (mysogynistic) forms.
That and, as long as we're dealing with this immature debate---they seemed to have glossed over all the foxy liberals--Maureen Dowd, Susan Sarandon,the Kerry sisters, Kristin Gore, etc. etc. But its Facebook....adolescence and its most repugnant is free to roam and scream there.

Don't more women vote Democrat than Republican? It could be that simple. Women vote for competent female candidates. Men vote for attractive (or kind of attractive) female candidates.

When I was in college the campus Republicans circulated something like this. I think it's interesting that the Republican women are for the most part bloggers or commentators or columnists, whereas the Democrats have a senator, Speaker of the House, former Attorney General, and former Secretary of State. Speaks for itself I think.
Let's not forget that fugly Eleanor Roosevelt. Chick was a two-bagger, at best. /sarcasm
None of the Republicans have ever held elected or even appointed office, so it's not a fair comparison. Even among TV pundits, there are plenty of hot liberals.
