How can Martha Stewart not like smoked cheese? This proves my theory that she's alien. There's no other explanation.

Like the bog water, it seems that much of Amy's humor would go unappreciated by Martha or her target audience.

I would pay to watch Amy and Martha in a craft-off. Amy would win, of course, but it would be hours of fun watching Martha slowly lose it as her usual tricks do nothing to undermine Amy's quirky pluck. I see it ending with Martha in a bunny costume, and Amy using her as a prop for a lesson in how to litter train your rabbit.

i really cannot friggin' stand martha. calling amy "gullible" when she claims to not know what bong water is... and the condescension in "do YOU like SMOKED CHEESE?" yes, bitch, i like smoked cheese, especially when it's squirted RIGHT out of the can onto my 'chicken in a biscuit' cracker. them's some good eatin'!

Amy, sweet Amy. So awesome. Last time she was on Martha promoting her book she was working Martha's last nerve in a subtle sort of way. I love her----she looks like a pygmy next to Martha though. I forget she is that tiny.

I LOVE AMY SEDARIS!! Got her to sign my "Strangers with Candy" DVD at a movie screening- she wrote "Pee on me". I heart her! :)

@FourInchHeels: From what I've seen of her in interviews and stuff, Amy is pretty straight edge. She just plays the drug references for laughs. But I could be wrong... ;)

Amy is my hero. I relate to her more than any celeb ever.

Martha and Amy are my heroes. Conan had both Martha and Amy on his show a long while back (Martha taught him how to iron, Amy taught him how to make grilled cheese with an iron) and I came a little. And Martha's deadpan kicks ass -- she looked and sounded the same way when she chugged some Jack Daniels and ate a Big Mac on Conan as she does when she has wine and paté.

Amy Sedaris is one of my most favorite people EVA. I like Martha, too, but she better not be mean to my Amy. I will cut a bitch!

@PantyWaist: I love the book! I used to write for the newspaper in her hometown and I did a review of the book and her Dad called and left a really sweet voicemail thanking me for writing about his daughter. Since I worship her and her brother David, it was probably the happiest day of my life!

I am looking for the link right now, but Martha just did an interview in which she says Amy is delightful and hilarious. Martha seems to have a pretty dry sense of humor, I think she was just playing. I love them both and the night they were both on Conan, it was like a dream come true, if only I could have been there.

Martha rules! She was def playing along with Amy. My friend worked on the Macy's commercial (the one with Usher) and said she was awesome and brought cupcakes for everyone. Usher was the jerk.
