Over on Back In Skinny Jeans, a blogger called MamaVision has written a post called "Anorexia and an Internet Suicide" about a girl named Kristi, who maintained a LiveJournal pro-anorexia site and blogged her suicide. Kristi's last post detailed which pills she had taken, and how many. After she died, a new "leader" took on the job of maintaining the pro-ana site and offering "support" to the group. MamaVision is outraged because, as a former model, she believes that the media and the fashion industry play a part in this. It's sad, annoying and enraging. One of the posters from the pro-ana community has an avatar that's a picture of Nicole Richie — another has a bottle of spilled pills. They all responded to Kristi4's suicide post with messages like "Don't do this!" — but they were all too late. She was 34.
