Did you know that there's a difference between bulimia and purging? Apparently, purging is bulimia minus the fun part of binging on Little Debbie cakes, which might be why the eating disorder is relatively unknown and diagnosed less often than anorexia or bulimia. One researcher however, is leading a study that will not only help doctors properly diagnose patients with the disorder, but (hopefully) find new ways of treating the disease. Pamela Keel says that often times, patients who purge have normal weights their eating disorders go undetected by doctors, family, and friends. And though purging doesn't come with as high a threat level as death or extreme illness, it still should be taken extremely seriously... despite our jokes about barf bags. [CBSNews]
