Fox Snaps Up the Miss Universe and Miss USA Pageants

Latest

Don’t worry, America, you won’t miss the sparkles this year: Fox has picked up broadcast rights for the Miss Universe and Miss USA pageants. NBC previously had the franchise, which it dropped as part of its great divorce from The Donald in the uproar over his execrable comments about Mexican immigrants.

That’s according to Deadline. This summer’s Miss USA broadcast got fairly terrible ratings, but that’s because it was aired by Reelz at the last minute. However, Trump won’t be involved anymore, because he apparently sold The Miss Universe Organization back in September. He has, however, been welcomed back to NBC, in the form of a host gig on Saturday Night Live.

The Miss Universe pageant will broadcast from the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, on December 20. Can’t wait to see the judging panel!
