Don't Worry, Scandal Won't Get Stretched Out to 10 Seasons

Yesterday, Scandal creator Shonda Rhimes said that the next (fourth) season of the show is "Abby's season." And now we're finding out that Scandal won't be one of those shows that goes on and on for ten years — Rhimes has an ending in sight.

According to The Hollywood Reporter:

"I think there's only so much 'Scandal' you can tell satisfactorily," Rhimes said. "The Fitz-Liv thing can only be told so long and in such a way. It's not a 10-season or eight-season show. I've already decided how long that is and what that's going to be."

Some might argue that "the Fitz-Liv thing" has already gone on too long. And if Rhimes really wants to end in a satisfactory way, she will, as fans on other sites and commenters here have requested, have Olivia and Mellie team up. I'd also watch the Drunk Mellie spinoff show.
