Carol Channing appeared on Wendy Williams today (in red leather and a spunky ponytail), and when Wendy told the 89-year-old that she's an honorary black woman, Channing said her father might've been half-black, which explains why she's a good dancer.

Channing actually first told the story about her father's supposed heritage in her 2002 memoir Just Lucky I Guess, but because the details of his origin are so murky (Channing says his birth certificate was lost in a fire), many believe that the story is just an elaborate joke on Channing's part.
