Legendary street style photographer and living treasure Bill Cunningham turned his expert eye on marathon fashion this week, thus combining my two biggest fantasies–running the New York marathon on a cold day and being photographed by Bill Cunningham– into one glorious narrated video.

What I've always loved about Cunningham is his joyful, accepting approach to style and fashion, and his love of people who dare to be their loud, gauche, colorful selves. And marathons are the perfect outlet for that – both times I've run in Chicago, I've passed and been passed by a man dressed like the Eiffel Tower and a million puffy ballerina skirts. I'm also going to need the lime green snood worn by the woman at 1:30, stat.
