Beyoncé's Dad Wants to Teach You How to Become a Superstar

Latest

Beyoncé’s ever-persistent dad and ex-manager Mathew Knowles is holding a workshop for aspiring entertainers who want to learn everything he knows about the making of a superstar. Mathew does know a thing or three (I’m talking about Destiny’s Child) about this particular pursuit.

The one-day workshop, called “The Entertainment Industry: How do I get in?” takes place in Houston, and tickets range from $99 to $299 (for the VIP package, which includes lunch with Papa Knowles).

The event listing urges “singers, dancers, composers, writers, producers, managers, publicists, attorneys, business managers and all other entertainment industry hopefuls” to sign up and learn from Mathew. Other experts, including an entertainment lawyer, songwriter and vocal coach, are also offering tips.

FYI:

All attendees will receive a Certificate of Completion and Knowles reference booklet of industry definitions, contacts and additional useful information.

Mathew is here to help, but who will help him? In the years since Beyoncé fired him, he’s desperately shopped a Destiny’s Child book and biopic and says he’s still managing the group. Beyoncé, meanwhile, will still be over here not doing any interviews.
