In August 2014, the San Antonio Spurs hired Becky Hammon as an assistant coach. The former WNBA star became the first woman on an NBA coaching team, a huge breakthrough for women in professional sports.

But it looks like Hammon is still on the rise, on Friday the Spurs announced that Hammon will be the team’s head coach during its summer season in Las Vegas. USA Today reports that Hammon will be the first woman to serve as a head coach of a summer league.
