Beauty Pageant's Miss Congeniality Arrested for Shoplifting at Walmart

Latest

A “Miss Congeniality” winner in Lewis County, Washington is accused to stealing makeup at Walmart in the days before her pageant appearance.

Chloe Curry was arrested three days before she took the award for “Miss Congeniality” at the Miss Lewis County on suspicion of shoplifting, according to KIRO TV.

According to a Chehalis police report, Curry, 18, whose legal name is Chloe Reavis, was with a friend at the Wal-Mart on March 5 when they were spotted putting makeup into their purses by store security. The report states the two went to the checkout and paid for a small amount of food but not the makeup. They were detained by store employees and police were called. Both were arrested and cited for shoplifting, the report said.

Three days later, Curry took the stage for the Miss Lewis County pageant and stole the judge’s hearts (YOU SEE WHAT I DID THERE, GUYS?). Curry won a $600 scholarship as her “Miss Congeniality” prize and no matter what happens with her shoplifting case, she won’t have to return the money, thanks to pageant rules.

“It was a stupid mistake,” Curry told King 5, “We thought we could get away with it and we didn’t.”

OK, you guys. Normally I would have this blog post loaded up with jokes. A beauty pageant contest steals makeup from Walmart right before the contest and then goes on to win a title that was the name of a Sandra Bullock movie? It’s just too much for my comedy brain to handle! It shorted a fuse! SO MANY GOOD PUNS TO MAKE. CAN’T JUST PICK ONE.
