Fashion week has started in New York, and thus the BCBG Max Azria spring/summer collection has glided in gracefully, trailing silk and pastels.
This season, Max and Lubov Azria have amped up the femininity without becoming too delicate or precious: although the line features a sea of gently-flowing fabrics in pastel hues, there are also plenty of structured, slightly utilitarian jackets and — notably — many of the garments are bound at the waist by what appear to be karate-inspired belts. Who says ultra-feminine can't be tough, too?
