Bai Ling Reveals Her Life Of Severe Sexual Trauma

Bai Ling has a reputation in Hollywood as an eccentric figure who does crazy dances, occasionally shoplifts, and has unusual thoughts. But on last night's Celebrity Rehab, she peeled the onion by sharing stories—both from her childhood and later as an adult—in which she was sexually molested and raped. In a one-on-one session with Dr. Drew, Bai Ling told of the time she served in the Chinese People's Liberation Army when she was just 14 years old and was molested by various generals. Her talk with Dr. Drew is so raw that Bai actually identifies with her victimizers, and feels sorry for them.

The ads for the Ashton Kusher-Cameron Diaz comedy What Happens in Vegas boast that the film is "the first big comedy of the summer." Based on these same ads, however, I'm pretty sure that it's the first big-budget sucky movie of the summer. Confirming my theory are the sartorial choices made by those in attendance at the movie's premiere in Los Angeles last night. Brooke Burns, Diablo Cody, Eva Longoria, Michelle Krusiec, Tamara Mowry, and Soleil Moon Frye (!) were all there. And looking bad. (Sorry Diablo.) Grammy Awards Fashions Hit The High Notes

Finally: Another awards ceremony! At last night's Grammys, celebrities seemed eager to cuddle up to the warm and welcoming bosom of a red carpet, and for the most part, everyone cleaned up nicely. Hell, even Lisa Rinna looked good, forgoing her usual penchant for leopard print for sleek silver. Other big successes: Alicia Keys, who always looks sleek; Fergie, who kept things minimal and sunny; Natasha Bedingfield, who dazzled in royal purple; and Rihanna, who had the most exciting dress of the evening by far — short, snappy, dazzling. But of course, there were the losers, too, and we don't just mean the people who went home without statuettes. Carole King would have been better off in a tapestry than what she was wearing; Taylor Swift looked like she was headed to the prom; Cyndi Lauper looked like the Bride of Frankenstein, and we're not sure what the hell Kelis was thinking. [Yes, and one of us here has, thank you very much! -Ed] These stories are to the weeklies what wheat germ and ~~lips 'n assholes~~ unspeakable body parts are to white-meat McNuggets, and in a slow news week like this one, it's where the difference between a $3.49 and $1.99 cover price really shows.
