Forget Curves. Abandon your Pilates class. The next big thing in lady-centric exercise is the "Vixen Workout." The venue is designed to look like a nightclub, you are encouraged to come made up and wearing sneaker wedges, and it involves dancing and screaming such affirmations as "Yes, I am sexy!"

It's like a bachelorette party at a Zumba class. Or, as another Jezebel staffer put it, a Cathy cartoon on molly.

The AP reports on the craze, which is currently expanding nationally. Workouts involve hip-hop dance moves, Beyonce tracks and strobe lights. "It makes me feel good, it makes me feel sexy. It makes me feel energized," said one 27-year-old New York regular.

The program is the brainchild of Janet Jones, a former Miami Heat cheerleader who created it when she was laid off from her corporate desk job. And she's built the workout into a growing business—revenues were nearly $1.5 million their first year, and "fitness concerts" with 500 spots have sold out completely. But Jones says it's about so much more than cardio:

As a woman "you need some type of release," says Jones, who has a 5-year-old daughter.

"And you're not a bad mother for thinking that, you're not a bad wife, you're not a bad anything," said the 33-year-old Jones, who is based in Miami but also leads workouts in New York and other cities. "You're gonna be a better person, in turn, to your family, if you are the best version of yourself."

Do you, ladies, but I'm gonna stick to stationary bikes that allow me to watch Scandal while cycling.
