Ariel Castro Pleads Not Guilty to Hundreds of Horrific Charges

Ariel Castro, accused of kidnapping, imprisoning, and repeatedly raping Gina DeJesus, Amanda Berry and Michelle Knight in his Cleveland home, pleaded not guilty today to 329 counts of rape, torture and murder. Okay, sure, why not.

A grand jury indicted Castro on 139 counts of rape, 177 counts of kidnapping, seven counts of gross sexual imposition, three counts of felonious assault and one count of “possession of criminal tools.” Just one?

He’s also accused of the aggravated murder of a fetus for allegedly forcing one of the women to abort after he impregnated her, a charge we could do without.
