Anderson Cooper kicked off week two of his syndicated talk show by sitting down with his 87-year-old mother Gloria Vanderbilt to talk about his brother Carter Vanderbilt Cooper’s suicide in 1988. Gloria, who was present when Carter lept from the balcony of their New York penthouse, tells Anderson, “There was a moment when I thought I was going to jump after him. But then I thought of you and it stopped me from doing that.”
