Usually, if you go to Lancaster or some such place, and you see an Amish person, they won't pose for pictures for tourists because they consider it "an act of pride." Well, after a dozen Amish people were arrested—for forcibly cutting the beards and hair of men and women with whom they had ongoing religious disputes—they were booked and their mugshots were taken, which I guess was OK since they clearly are not proud here.
