A Terrifying Look Inside the Cleveland House of Horrors

Prosecutors revealed new photos of life inside Ariel Castro’s house of horrors at his sentence hearing this afternoon. They are nothing short of jesus h. he is a monster.

The pictures paint a heartbreaking scene inside the Cleveland home where Castro imprisoned, abused, and raped Gina DeJesus, Amanda Berry and Michelle Knight for ten years. The objects presumably belonging to Amanda Berry’s daughter are especially hard to look at.

Castro has accepted a plea deal to serve a 1,000-year prison sentence without parole.

As an aside, building a model of the house is such a weird job — like, who is hired for that? The best scrapbooker in the police station? Or an architect with a strong interest in forensics? Shudder/tell me more.
