Get ready for a Selena hologram.

According to Billboard, Selena Quintanilla’s family is working with Acrovirt LLC on a hologram of the late singer that would perform with contemporary acts. Billboard reports:

Named “Selena The One,” it is being referred to as a “walking, talking, singing, and dancing, digital embodiment” of the Mexican American icon.
According to the statement, this hologram of sorts “will release new songs and videos, will collaborate with current hit artists, and aims to go on tour in 2018.”

Eek. The family posted a message about the hologram on Facebook, where one person commented: “will this be like the Tupac hologram? if not, please stop. anything will else will just be morbidly creepy.”

Indeed, this happened before with 2Pac and Nate Dogg. Selena’s dad initially dismissed the idea of a Selena hologram in 2014 (it was too expensive and tedious, he said) when he spoke with the company that did the 2Pac hologram for Coachella.
