A Navy SEAL Is Going to Marry Former RHONJ Danielle Staub

Danielle Staub, who, after thirty seconds of reaching deep into the “Things I Didn’t Want To Remember” file in your brain you’ll remember as the certifiably insane woman on the Real Housewives of New Jersey, is getting married.

We haven’t heard much from Danielle since her final scene on season two of the show where she sat alone in her giant house—that was possibly bought with drug money—eating a bowl of plain pasta with her two daughters who I’m sure were wondering how much longer they had to put up with this shit. But now she’s back with news that she is engaged to a Navy SEAL named Joseph Masalta.

In Touch somehow managed to scoop up the exclusive to this breaking story:

The couple met at a charity event, and Joseph says that he was immediately smitten, “Danielle is the most beautiful woman I’ve ever met in my life, inside and out, and I am head-over-heels in love with her,” Joseph gushes.

And here is a weirdly specific timeline of Joseph’s career:

Masalta was a Navy SEAL for 16 years and served on SEAL Team One, SEAL Team Three, and Naval Special Warfare Group One. Most recently, he led maritime anti-piracy security details in the Arabian Sea and protection detail missions in the Middle East. In recent years, he founded Masalta International, an executive security, counterterrorism, and intelligence consultancy. In addition, Joseph has started several organizations and groups that promote fitness and community.

The couple hasn’t set a date yet because they’re probably trying to get Lifetime or the FYI network to pay for the wedding and they’ve got to drum up a bit of press to make that happen. Also, interestingly, the story didn’t include a photo of the couple actually together and Danielle isn’t wearing an engagement ring. Interpret as you will.
