The inevitable birthing couture has arrived. Fashionista Daniela Corte designed the all-access 'ar-a-luz, which, translated from Spanish, means "to give birth"' for her own labor, to avoid wearing the generic hospital gown. The jersey garment, which comes in a variety of shades, is probably a lot softer than the disposable stuff we're used to. But the thing is...isn't childbirth kind of...messy? Don't you want to 'wear' something that you don't mind covering in placenta and stuff and then tossing? But maybe that just shows we're not true fashionistas. [W]
