Yes, Milan Fashion Week is still happening. Can you believe it? So much fashion. Yesterday, Armani presented the fall/winter 2013 collection, which, according to Vogue, was inspired by la garçonne, "that independent female archetype of the thirties whose sense of liberation was reflected in her borrowed-from-the-boys wardrobe." What does this mean? Well, unlike most of the other shows we've seen this season, there were pants. Soft, slouchy trousers, fluid and loose; cozy velvet pants, urging you to ditch your skinny jeans. There were still dresses, of course — some gorgeous options for evening, with dramatic plunging necklines — but the palette was limited to gray, violet, black and white. If you love bright, bold colors and energetic patterns, Armani is not for you.
