Maybelline Model Says Only 'Stupid Bitches' Accuse Terry Richardson of Sexual Harassment

Maybelline face and runway model Charlotte Free, who frequently shoots with Terry Richardson, has some opinions about the sexual-harassment allegations the photographer has faced during his long fashion career. Namely, that the women making them are "stupid bitches" who have no reason to "get all mad and ashamed" after being asked to, say, fellate Richardson on set.

Asked by a reader for her take on the misconduct allegations that have dogged Richardson since former model Jamie Peck wrote about her experiences posing for Richardson in 2010, Free responded on her Tumblr:

"i love terry's raw sexuality, it's one of the things i really admire about him. Terry likes to do sexy stuff, that's his shit. If you don't wanna be part of it, make it clear in the beginning. Don't willingly blow the man and get all mad and ashamed later...I hate when girls say 'but he asked me to.' you should have said no then, stupid bitch! there's plenty of other girls waiting in line, so he's not forcing you to do shit. When you make a choice you have to live with it — unless someone got you fucked up against your will. Thats how I feel about it.

The post has since been deleted. You see, it's pretty simple: if you work with Terry Richardson as a model, you should expect to be asked to blow him. If you don't want to, just say so! And then he'll pick another model to work with. Don't be a "stupid bitch" and act like that's somehow unfair. [The Fashion Spot, Fashionista]

Maybelline Model Says Only 'Stupid Bitches' Accuse Terry Richardson of Sexual HarassmentKiara Kabukuru, the Ugandan top model of the 1990s, is enjoying a career comeback after recovering from the 2000 car accident that nearly killed her. Kabukuru required years of rehab and reconstructive surgery after she was struck by an 18-wheeler while riding her bike. When the accident happened, she was working regularly for Victoria's Secret, had covers of Elle and Vogue under her belt, and was a muse of Tom Ford. After the accident, her pelvis was broken, her teeth were ripped out, and she had to undergo seven surgeries to repair her jaw. Kabukuru talks with her friend Gisele Bündchen about her physical recovery and gradual return to modeling in the C.R. Fashion Book. [CR Fashion Book]

  • Fashionista talked to 18-year-old Willie Green, the blogger and editor behind the popular Tumblr WeTheUrban and its associated print magazine. (Cover star of the latest issue: Nicola Formichetti.) Green says he started the magazine partly to prove a point to the industry:

"I think a part of me did it as a symbolic way of commenting on the way our insanely fast and often vicious industry works. Maybe I'm doing it just to say that I could? That an 18-year-old black kid from the middle-of-nowhere North Carolina can be one of the youngest Editor-in-Chief's in history to create a nationally distributed publication. Don't get me wrong, though… I still realize that it's business at the end of the day, and I definitely want WeTheUrban to push things forward."

  • Curious about how, exactly, John Galliano and Oscar de la Renta worked together during the former's residency at the latter's New York atelier? Model Kelsey Rogers saw the two designers in action:

"They both gave their opinion, and then they worked very well together. If John suggested one thing and if Oscar didn't like it, then John was like, 'OK, we don't have to do it.' They each had their opinion about each look, and they just kind of compromised or agreed. It was cool to see."
