This scene shows Seyfried as Lovelace and Seneca Crane Wes Bentley as Larry Marchiano, Lovelace's second husband, an alcoholic who allegedly abused her. So far, I'm digging the 70s look, with Seyfried's sassy shag and spot-on swimsuit. Also, I was a tiny bit creeped out and a little sad, which might be expected when watching a movie about Lovelace.

It's not clear which parts of Lovelace's life the film will cover, whether it'll take us from her Catholic roots in the Bronx to her days as an anti-porn activist — she teamed up with the likes of Andrea Dworkin and Catharine MacKinnon — or anything in between, or beyond. I'm hoping it'll present a complicated portrayal of a very complicated person, and leave out the bestiality, plz and ty.

The film is set to release in July.
