CALLER: It's terrible that 26 people died in Sandy Hook and 20 of them were children. Terrible. Very sad, coming up to Christmas, hopes and dreams that young children had; their parents and weddings and graduations that will never occur.
However, on any given day in Americans [sic], more than 3,000 children are killed from abortion and we have no problems with that. We're OK with that. It's not an issue.
So you can't spend 40 years of telling people and telling children that if I make a mistake, if something comes up and this child I don't want is in the way of my future and in the way of me graduating high school, is in the way of me going to college, is [in] the way of me being happy, is in the way of whatever I want out of life, that it's OK for me to kill the baby, but later on when I become a disgruntled employee, when I become an unhappy student at school because children are bullying me, that I want to eliminate them and get them out of the way? It's the same concept.
LIMBAUGH: Well, it's a good point. You know how to stop abortion? Require that each one occur with a gun.
There's really not much to say because that's just Limbaugh doing Limbaugh, a silly shock jock troll who earns a living yelling about controversial topics in hopes of remaining relevant. What's really sad about Limbaugh, other than his entire life, is the sheer number of people who listen to him puke out his garbage every day — he's the number one commercial talk show since at least 1991 when record keeping began. Number two and three? Right wing nut jobs Michael Savage and Sean Hannity.
I've listened to a couple of Limbaugh's shows and he's so amped up that it's hard not to get angry and irate by the end of it — whether it's because you agree or disagree, you're left with loads of righteous indignation. It's because the man says nothing of substance but with great ferocity, he rants and raves and by the end of the show, you're ready for fight club. There's no room for discourse or debate, he's just yelling at the troops, getting them riled up for no-brains battle.
If I were a Republican and had any power whatsoever, I'd be fighting as hard as I could to make Limbaugh irrelevant. It's men like him who heavily contributed to a GOP loss this election, and that's not going to change if they [sane Republicans] keep letting this shit [Limbaugh, Hannity, Savage, et al] happen. Although, who knows, maybe these guys are so far gone that it's best to completely ignore them until they, their audiences, and their backwards beliefs die off. Until then, we can get a good chuckle at the goofy bullshit that spews from the mouths of these professional hate-babies.
