Not to alarm you this fine Sunday afternoon, but Politico has reported that Barbara Walters took quite a nasty spill Saturday night during a visit to the British Ambassador's office. The 83-year-old Walters fell down a step and cut her forehead, according to ABC, and has been hospitalized. Jeffrey W. Schneider, vice-president of ABC News, explained in a statement, however, that Walters' hospitalization shouldn't be cause for concern:
Out of an abundance of caution, she went to the hospital to have her cut tended to, have a full examination and remains there for observation. Barbara is alert (and telling everyone what to do), which we all take as a very positive sign.
Whew, Barbara Walters is right back to her normal and apparently bossy self. Crisis averted!
