Jennifer Lawrence Once Face-Palmed Bill Maher to Get to Meryl Streep

Goddammit, Jennifer Lawrence! Must you continue your tireless efforts to become the most likable person in all of Hollywood? You've done your job. We're convinced. We all want to be your best friend and spend hours with you eating burritos and gossipping about what it's like to date Tony from Skins. You've won. You can stop this doing and saying awesome things. Why won't you stop doing and saying awesome things?!

We covered some verbal gems from Jennifer Lawrence's latest Vanity Fair feature yesterday, but the excellent quotes keep coming (if she won't stop, neither will we). Like this anecdote she shared with the magazine about blowing off Bill Maher and going ga-ga over Meryl Streep:

"Once I'm obsessed with somebody, I'm terrified of them instantly. I'm not scared of them — I'm scared of me and how I will react. One time someone was introducing me to Bill Maher, and I saw Meryl Streep walk into the room, and I literally put my hand right in Bill Maher's face and said, ‘Not now, Bill!,' and I just stared at Meryl Streep."

And did she actually talk to her, one actress to another?

"Of course not. I just creepily stared at her."

So not only was she an adorable creeper weirdo to Meryl Streep (as we all would be), but she also shut down Bill Maher mid-sentence in the process? Her successful campaign to be the best continues...
