"How did a guy like me end up with 10 baby mamas and 11 kids?" rapper Shawty Lo asks in the clip above. The answer, clearly, is that he didn't even bother to pull out. And so here he comes again—this time much messier, since it's in the form of a reality show that will air on Oxygen in 2013. It will chronicle his Big Love-style setup as he lives in one house with his new 19-year-old girlfriend (who is the same age as three of his daughters) and the rest of the nearly two dozen people in his immediate family.
The women who are the mothers to his children have nicknames like "First Lady Baby Mama," "No Drama Baby Mama," "Wanna-Be-Bougie Baby Mama," and "Baby Mama From Hell" (who describes herself as "outgoing and angry"). Some of them get along, some don't, as you can see from the sizzle reel above that has been making the rounds on the internet. Here's a sample of one baby mama speaking about another:
I don't even give her the time of the day to make my life hell. Like I told her yesterday when she was here I said, "Don't start no shit 'cause Imma choke your ass out." And she said, "Imma choke you out." So I said, "I'm not even gonna let you get on top of me. I'm gonna drag your little bitty ass somewhere and choke the shit out of you. So don't even go there."
Back in 2000, when Oxygen first launched with the help of Oprah Winfrey, the network's mission was to "release the energy of women to do great things."
