Holiday Gift Guide: What Do You Buy Your Smug Married Friends?

Happy Holidays, Lonely Hearts Club. It’s nearly December which means two things: 1) It’s almost that time of the year for you to get drunk alone on eggnog and record yourself as you attempt to sing both parts of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” (sorry to everyone who got this video last year) and 2) you’re probably going to have to buy some gifts, some of which will be for your oh-so-happy, oh-so-smug married friends. Buying a gift for a couple can be great — you kill two birds with one Williams-Sonoma stone — but it can also be a real challenge, especially if you’re not at a place in your life where you know exactly what it is that couples, whether they’re just starting out or have been together for ages, want or need.
