The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) named their Dog of the Year, and what a dog it is! Blind senior poodle mix Fiona was found living trash heap in South Los Angeles, and I'm not kidding, I started tearing up when I typed that. The kind folks at Hope for Paws took in Fiona, rehabilitated her, and shared her rescue online with a request for donations. Her story went viral, and enough money came in to restore sight to one of her eyes. Then, she was adopted to her forever home and I never stopped crying. And I'll tell you something else, g-d Avril Lavigne is not helping with her sad song witchery!
