Ladies Be Publishing: Women Dominate NaNoWriMo

If you sat down last Thursday to start writing the next great American novel, you’re not alone. So far in 2012, 542,311,473 words have been written during National Novel Writing Month, November’s push for thousands of aspiring novelist baby mamas to push out their book babies, no matter how fucking gross the birthing process is — because it is gross and hard and possibly bloody and you just might shit yourself in the process.

So, usually this horrific and satisfying process results in books filled with sentences that are just strings of unrelated words or even worse, a YA teen vampire novela. But every once in awhile, someone writes themselves into a book deal, and it turns out that most of those someones are women. So far, it’s happened 12 times, that’s pretty damn impressive. Let’s all the ladies give high fives to all the other ladies because we are en fuego when it comes to making paper with that paper. YOU GO, GLEN COCO.
