It's Puppy Time in Puppy Town for Pit Bull Appreciation MonthS

It's National Pit Bull Awareness month and when we posted about it last week, a lot of people posted pictures of their adorable bullies, and I got all misty-eyed looking at all those sweet potato pups. I was also listening to Sarah Mclachlan's Angel on repeat like it was 1999, but that's probably not related.

Of course, then I had to cruise Petfinder, read every rescue story on Bad Rap, and lust after this gallery of pit bull puppy perfection. I've been alternating between laughing, crying, laugh crying, cry laughing, and all out hysteria. Puppies, WHY YOU GOTTA BE LIKE THAT?

Of course, since this is the internet, I have to share a picture of my pit bull best friend, Hazel. I picked her up from the Oakland Animal Shelter almost exactly six years ago to foster for Rocket Dog Rescue, but I ended up falling in love, and decided we had to be together forever. She is my favorite fat-ass in residence, and I love this lazy lima bean like she came from my own birth canal. Yes, I'm writing from bed; is that so wrong, I ask you? Also, please don't judge me.

Now, show me your puppies! Or grown-ass dogs, or cats, or lizards — I don't dogscriminate. I'm gonna stop typing now.
