Adorable human banjo string Joseph Gordon-Levitt just released this über twee animated short through his production company hitRECord, all about the love and pain that goes into eating a bag of strawberry bootlaces, the licorice candy popular across the UK. (For you American rubes, strawberry bootlaces are the British equivalent to a Twizzlers Pull N’ Peel.) Add a Smiths reference and a pair of saddle shoes and this could very well be a deleted scene from 500 Days of Summer. Is it cloying? Possibly, but who can stay annoyed at a mug like that?
