Meet Catarina Migliorini, Who's Selling Her Virginity To Raise Money For Her Hometown

A 20-year-old Brazilian woman currently listed on the website Virgins Wanted is about to rake in at least $160,000 for her virginity in an auction that ends October 15. What Catarina Migliorini is offering to the highest bidder (currently one Jack Miller, American) is one (1) occurrance of sexual intercourse on an in-flight airplane from Australia to America in order to circumvent prostitution laws. The reality of this seems, at best, unbearably awkward. How long is this flight? Is it a public plane? After that's done do you have to next to each other and eat little packs of pretzels and half-watch ubiquitous in-flight movie P.S. I Love You?

Migliorini told Folha, a San Paolo daily: "For me, it's not prostitution. When someone does something once in his or her life, this is not considered a profession. If you take a picture and it comes out good, you are not a photographer because of it."

The unique setup is partially explained by the fact that an Australian film crew will be following her journey for the documentary Virgins Wanted, which will also chronicle the de-virginization of a boy named Alex Stepanov, also via auction. The film's wordless trailer features both Migliorini and Stepanov in their native towns, engaging in various appealing hobbies like piano, karate and beach frolicking.

Regardless of the means, Migliorini's intentions are honorable: she plans on giving a portion of the funds to a home-building charity for struggling areas of her hometown of Santa Catarina in southern Brazil. She's still a romantic at heart and believes in love, she said, and added, "I saw this as a business. I have the opportunity to travel, to be part of a movie and get a bonus with it. This [money] will make a big difference to my area."
