In Poland, Dachshunds Get The Parade They Deserve

“It’s not everyday you see 300 Dachshunds parade down the street in fancy dress,” asserts the description on this video. True enough. But here dachshund owners in Poland display an imaginative and creative yen for putting their dogs in costumes of all varieties. I don’t want to give anything away, but there are definitely one or two fake moustaches.

Oddly enough, these dogs don’t have the same existential sadness in the eyes that actual show pets do. Clearly even dogs know the difference between the goofiness of Halloween and the bone-crushing solemnity of a beauty pageant.
