The Bikini Basketball League Is Nigh Upon Us

Since everyone thinks that the Lingerie Football League is such a wonderful, respectful, modern, spectacle, which is neither degrading, nor at all reminiscent of a gladiatorial sport Commodus would introduce to distract Romans from his wacky hijinks, America is getting the significantly more alliterative Bikini Basketball League, which has been around since 2011 but has just now sent out the following gross Twitter call for participants:

NBC Sports’ Rick Chandler notes that something like this was inevitable, since the Linergie Football League has expanded rapdily in the U.S. and abroad. Unfortunately, Bikini Basketball team names are just as Danielle Steele-y (credit to the commenters) as teams in the Lingerie Football League: so far, we have the Chicago Desire, Orlando LadyCats, Miami Spice, Los Angeles Ice, New York Knockouts, Hollywood Hotties and Atlanta Fleet Angels.
