The Beautiful Creatures Trailer: One Big Room Full of Bad Witches

Here’s the first trailer for Beautiful Creatures, the film that Vulture and several other media outlets believe is planning to ride the success of Twilight all the way to the bank. The films certainly have their similarities — both are based on young adult book series, feature the supernatural and teenage romances (though in the case of Beautiful Creatures, it’s the normal boy who’s taken with the strangely powerful girl and not the other way around). Beautiful Creatures, however, stands out for a couple of reasons — those reasons being Viola Davis and Emma Thompson.
