Rogue Kangaroo Breaks Out of Wildlife Park, Gallivants Around Germany Being Awesome

Dear headline,

Thank you for not even being exaggerated at all. I love you.

Sincerely,
Lindy

Okay, not only is that headline not exaggerated—there really is a jailbreak kangaroo "on the lam" in the German countryside—the full story is about 75 zillion times better. Because the kangaroo didn't just escape from the Hochwildschutzpark Hunsrueck park on his own, he did it with the help of a wisecracking band of Oceans 11 criminal-mastermind animal friends!!!

Michael Hoffmann, assistant head of the Hochwildschutzpark Hunsrueck west of Frankfurt, said Monday the male kangaroo was one of three that escaped overnight Saturday with the inadvertent help of the menagerie that lives in the area woods.

Hoffmann says the kangaroos got out of their enclosure after a young fox snuck into the park and dug a hole next to the cage's fencing. Two of the three were then able to get out of the park entirely through another hole dug by a wild boar under the exterior fence.

Hoffmann says "we've got two of them back; now we're just looking for the third."

The kangaroos' escape was also aided by Jumbles the safecracking badger and Rodrigo the turtle (on ballistics). Prior to 2012, the only creature ever to escape from Hochwildschutzpark Hunsrueck was Sean Connery.
