Delightful Olympic Gymnast Gabby Douglas Will Teach You How to Dougie

The Olympic trials for women’s gymnastics drew to a close last night; Gabby Douglas narrowly came out ahead of current national champion Jordyn Wieber, thus securing the one guaranteed spot on the team. Wieber, placing in a very close second, made the cut anyhow, along with McKayla Maroney, Aly Raisman, and Kyla Ross; Elizabeth Price, Anna Li, and Sarah Finnegan were named as alternates.

If you’re a gymnastics fan, then all of these ladies are great to watch — but none more so than Douglas, who’s always smiling. Despite the intense pressure and necessary concentration, she sticks every landing, in all four events, with the most genuine grin you’ve ever seen. And last night she celebrated her win with a variation on her “happy dance.”
