Eau de Macbook, the Fragrance for Truly Obsessive Apple Fans

Searching for a way to recreate that potent mix of ecstasy and guilt at having blown a hundreds of dollars in a single transaction that comes from purchasing a new Apple product? Looking to become a total geek magnet? Then try a spritz of the new fragrance that captures the scent of a Macbook when it's first removed from its box. You know that smell. The perfume was created for an art exhibition by some Melbourne-based artists in collaboration with a fragrance company. This Eau de Macbook is described as capturing,

[T]he smell of the plastic wrap covering the box, printed ink on the cardboard, the smell of paper and plastic components within the box and of course the aluminum laptop which has come straight from the factory where it was assembled in China.

Sounds tantalizing. Sadly, it's not for sale, but perhaps if you're really desperate to get that new computer smell, you can just smear a bunch of shrink wrap, cardboard, ink, and a swab from your laptop on your neck and hope it will combine into something magical.
