The good news? Ebony Jackson and Josh Rendon, who were featured on the first season of 16 and Pregnant, have beaten the odds that plague teen parents by getting married and staying together. The bad news? They were arrested in September 2011 and charged with endangering the welfare of a minor, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a drug premise when authorities raided the couple's home after CPS received complaints about their "deplorable living conditions." According to the report by the Department of Human Services, "Every room inside the residence had human and dog feces on the floors, walls, and clothing." There were also maggots and flies, dirty diapers, and piles of garbage. CPS removed their daughter—who turns three this month—from the home. Animal control also stepped in and rescued three dogs. By November 2011, Ebony had made a second stab at drug rehab in an attempt to get her life in order and regain custody of her daughter. At the moment, Josh and Ebony, whose cases are still pending, are only allowed supervised visits with their daughter.
So it was a shock to everyone when the couple announced that they are "extremely excited" to be expecting their second child. Speaking to TMZ, Josh said that although this pregnancy was not planned they are ready for the responsibility because they have learned from their mistakes. Hopefully this round of "learning from mistakes" was a little more effective than that time they accidentally became teen parents!
