After Whitney Houston's tragic death in February, it's been easy to get bogged down in all the sad details of where she went wrong. But when she died, she was in the middle of staging a comeback, and her role in the forthcoming movie Sparkle was a big part of that. Now the trailer is out, and it's bittersweet. On the one hand, it's nice to see Whitney singing and looking so good after a 16-year absence from the screen, but on the other hand it's got her delivering lines "Was my life not enough of a cautionary tale for you?" So it's bound to be an unavoidable reminder of what we've lost.
