More and More Ladies Love Guns, Especially if They're Pink!

There's a pretty tried and true list of the things that women love— chocolate, chocolate and CHOCOLATE, am I right, LADIES???— but that list is about to get shaken up with a new edition. Now more than ever, we broads are loving to shoot and own guns.

Research by the National Sporting Goods Association shows female participation in target shooting grew by 46.5% between 2001 and 2010. And an October 2011 Gallup Poll found 23% of women own a gun... In Polk County [Iowa], where Des Moines is located, the number of women granted permits has outpaced those granted to men by more than two to one, skyrocketing more than 311% between 2010 and 2011.

Better yet, gun manufacturers have begun making guns and gun accessories in more "feminine" colors like pink and not a moment too soon— I mean, sure, we're tough enough to own lethal weapons, but we're certainly not tough enough to stare at that icky gray color as we use them. Guh-ross.

You'll pry our pink guns from our cold, dead, pristinely manicured hands.
